Grandpa
Some of my first memories are of Pap, as we grandkids call him. His bright eyes and wry wit, his strong hands and stories of his many adventures, made Mimi and Pap’s my favorite place growing up.
He showed me wonders in his workshop, where I’d spend hours working on little projects, but mostly watching what he was doing, amazed at how he could create stunning scenes out of a bare piece of leather, and fascinated by the array of tools he was surrounded by.
He taught me about hard work, honor, respect, love, and kindness. He and Mimi showed me how true love can last, and how two people hold each other up through good times and bad. I am truly blessed to be their grandson.
I thought he was the strongest, bravest man in the world, and I still do. I’m glad he can finally rest, and live on in our memories. All of my love, S
